Château-d'Oex Balloon Festival 2027
From Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 January 2027, Château-d'Oex will host the 47th edition of the Festival International de Ballons. For nine days, hot-air balloons from around the world take to the skies above the village and the snow-covered mountains of the Pays-d'Enhaut. Chalet Dauphinelle is about a ten-minute walk from the village.

- Balloon flights and competitive events with balloons from around the world
- A day for children, with short tethered balloon rides for children aged 5 to 12
- Passenger flights over the Pays-d'Enhaut
- A big celebration: more than 45,000 visitors came in 2026
Practical information
- Admission is free on weekdays; a day ticket is required at weekends (in 2026: CHF 15 for ages 16 and over)

Where to stay during the balloon festival
